Beware of hidden sources…

Most of the processed and convenience food contain high levels of sugar. Too much sugar causes rapid swings in energy and blood sugar and contributes to many serious health problems. By eating this kind of food we provide our body with fast but empty energy.

Corn syrup, cane juice, fructose, dextrose, maltose, molasses or brown rice syrup listed on the product labels should to be avoided. It is present in a processed food such as instant mashed potatoes, white bread, instant soups, refined pasta, sweetened cereals, sweet drinks, fruit yoghurts, etc.

Satisfy your cravings for sweets with naturally sweet food such as fruit, either fresh or dried. Fruit is naturally sweet and offers the benefits of vitamins and fibre. Make your own, home-made cake or dessert using healthy ingredients, having in mind your benefits. This way you can avoid extra sugar as well as artificial colours, additives of all kinds and other stuff that can cause health problems.
